Each work has a particular story
artisan and textile artist,
Julio de Paiva, tries to imprint in his works the mark of someone who connects the ancestor with the contemporary, weaving threads that unite these two ends: traditional and forgotten knowledge, such as natural dyeing and various weaving techniques, to his attributes as an architect and designer to create your own language.
Each work tells a particular story, within four investigative axes:
popular culture; the nature; the architecture; and the cartography traced by the crossings and paths of life.
In such a way, his work is connected by the nuances of his own experience as a northeastern artist. LGBT Brazilian, Latin American passionate about his continent and its diverse cultures.
The South is athe decolonial perspective are their guides and guiding threads when telling their stories.

architect, landscaper and designer,
Julio began to venture into art when he was very young, when he always drew a lot. This habit, free as it was before, disappeared with adulthood to give way to architectural drawings with professional and technical purposes.
But the desire to create more freely always remained, and he found in the plots a way to express himself like he had never found before.
It is through tensions established in the threads and in the course of life that we try to build our plot in the most beautiful ways possible.
This is how his art expresses what he lives, feels and goes through!
